Rolex and Billiards

A week or two back I saw a post about this guy worried about wearing his Rolex while playing the drums, but never read it. Got me thinking because I've been playing a lot of pool lately and I usually just play it safe and take the Rolly off before. Is there risk of damaging the internal mechanism in any way from activities such as billiards or drumming, etc? Or any effects such as causing the watch to run slow/fast?

Pool? No. Your Rolex probably get more shock from holding the steering wheel in your car.

Geez Jocke, you must have a monster break!! Try taking a little something off it.

BTW guys, for anyone interested, the Mosconi Cup is next week!!!

But back to the topic at hand, pool and Rolex go well together:

Watches, belts and rings etc are banned from my billiard table.

I have friends with sad stories regarding this issue.

If you can clap your hands without fear while wearing a Rolex, then pool/billiards should be fine!

Good god what ever next thought I had seen it all, I sometimes wonder why some buy one of the toughest and reliable mechanical watches made today. And to answer your question in any activity you body can take your Rolex will take more.

Its the usual pool cue fight over a foul ball that takes its toll on the watches Peter.

When the boys come over for a game I usually win.

'Cos you can't play snooker with one hand and hold your pants up with the other.

I shot a few games last night with my DD on. No problems. I was more worried about spilling my scotch.
