Wolf of Wall Street - Gold Rolex Showcase

As the title suggests: tons of gold Rolex (and a Tag) featured in Wolf of Wall Street. Gold may get a boost...

I'm really looking forward to see this. When your hear the voice over in the trailer you know it couldn't be any other director than Scorsese.

It's a very long movie, but entertaining. It has everything: very hot chicks/sex, drugs, greed, and huge side of excess. The yellow gold Rolex play a prominent role and confirm everything that they represent to me personally having grown up on Wall Street starting in the late 80's.

With that said, the yellow gold Rolex shown are quiet attention getting and will undoubtedly spur on a new leg of demand for yellow gold if the 2014 stock market repeats the performance of 2013.

I was watching Wall Street the other day and I'm pretty sure Gordon Gekko was wearing a gold Cartier.

Awesome movie, ton of nice watches. As far as Rolex goes, I spotted a GMT, DD, Daytona and a couple DJ. Also Tag and IWC.

You are right, and from what I know it's also the quartz version!!

Also the updated second film was heavily IWC influenced!

Saw the movie this afternoon. It was great. It held my attention for the full 3 hours. I don't usually like long movies. Some great watch eye candy (among other goodies) with all of the YG Rolex.

Saw the movie today and there were tons of gold subs and presidents! I'm a financial advisor and the movie did not help how the public views us and WS as a whole! Oh well....

Can't wait to see it this weekend. I feel this won't help my Gold fever! American Hustle sure didn't.

JACOB: What’s your number?
Bretton Woods: Excuse me?
Jacob: The amount of money you would need to be able to walk away from it all and just live happily-ever-after. See, I find that everyone has a number and it’s usually an exact number, so what is yours?
Bretton: … … More. ;)

Going to see it tomorrow - can't wait. Did like Louis CK's YG GMT in American Hustle. Gold watches are kinda growing on me...

There is nothing more gorgeous or stunning than an all gold watch, especially a Rolex. This is something I'll work very hard for.

Wolf of Wall Street - Gold Rolex Showcase

I read the book 18 months ago on holiday. Probably one of the best reads ever for me - I even contacted Jordan Belfort on LinkedIn and told him so.

I've been looking forward to the film since and will be the first in the cinema when it hits the UK in January.

Not sure about the portrayal in the film but after the birth of one of his children he bought all the doctors and nurses involved a gold watch as a thank you.

A person with a story some will just love, but equally I know some who don't like his tale.

There was a great film over a decade ago called 'Boiler Room' which was loosely based on Jordan's business from what I have read. For anyone in to finance/corruption type films I would strongly recommend that film.

Boiler Room, although not a high budget Hollywood film, was awesome. Good suggestion to folks who want to see the other side of Wall Street.

With the advent of the Sopranos 18kYG Rolex watches took on a less than desirable persona associating them with gangsters.

I do hope that this new movie can modify that 18K Rolex image into something more respectable.

I would love to see a new enthusiasm in the general population for gold watches.

Have you seen Sons of Anarchy? Clay wears gold DD and it is very prominent in every scene he is in. I'm not sure if that influences DDs perception all that much. My first thought was that the watch can take a lot of beating given the nature of the SoA series ;-).

I saw this movie yesterday, it is fantastic! And there are tons of great watches in it. I loved the sports model on a jubilee that Belfort was wearing.

Christian Bale wore a President in American Hustle. Bradley Cooper's boss Louis C.K. wore a 18k GMTIIC if you watch it closely. I noticed the green arrow.

I want to see this movie. Is it as good as Scorsese's prior movies (Casino, Goodfella's, Raging Bull)? My expectations are high.

I looked him up on IMDB and it's announced he will make a Sinatra movie. Oh boy!!! One report says he wants DiCaprio to play the young Sinatra, Al Pacino to play the older Sinatra, and DeNiro to play Dean Martin.
