Xbox One vs. PS4

I went through two months of agonizing research and finally pulled the trigger on the Xbox One last night.

My thoughts?

I F'ING love it.

Any haters? Lovers? Debaters?

Let's talk consoles.

Casual gamers welcome.

We looked at both and decided on..... neither. The xbox 360 is working well for now, and didn't really see the need to upgrade yet, perhaps when the title library expands a bit.

If you had a 360 before, would be interested in hearing your view of the benefits old vs new.

Yes, still have the 360. It's definitely an upgrade. Pretty much brings the whole entertainment system into one seemless experience. MS is on the right track and have the right idea... since it's scalable. I really love it.

Have the PS3 and Wii and all the earlier gen consoles as well. I used to game a lot, but less after my son came into the world. This console has revitalized a lot of that magic. Has a real "arcade" feel which engages the gameplay well. And he's old enough to start engaging.

I'm sure I'll get the PS4 one day but I'm very pleased with this product. It's not 100% perfect, has quite a few bugs, but fortunately, it's software and it is going in the right direction.

What are you playing on your new Xbox?

I used to be an avid gamer, but having young children has virtually completely curtailed this past-time for me.

I come from a PS background having owned PS One, PS2 and PS3. Always thought I would get the PS4, but seeing as I wouldn't have time to play it if I had one right now, I figured I'd hold off. Hopefully by the time I get around to getting one, the price would have come down and more games would be available.

I've got a Wii, PS3, and 360 in the house. No one plays any of them so I'm not upgrading consoles any time soon.

Not a gamer myself but my son is. Somehow, the 360 and ps3 started collecting dust eversince he started playing World of Warcraft. No upgrades here whatsoever...thank goodness! I've seen those new releases in the mall being played by kids and I think the games that came with them are awesome. The quality is so realistic.
