A New Royal Oak Offshore - Doha Limited Edition
I have just learned about this from an app on my phone. It's a new Offshore - Doha Limited Edition. It looks pretty good.

Apparently it has an Audemars Piguet manufactured Calibre 3126/3840 selfwinding chronograph movement.
I have a few Pics: |

The 3126/3840 is the current 3120 with modular chono in many of the current ROOs. Wonder if they will unveil the new in-house integrated chrono at SIHH. Also wonder if it will be in both the ROC and ROO. |

Wondering if they will put this bezel on the RGRC. Old pushers still here tho.

I think the 2014 RGRC will look similar to this, rose gold, in house movement/Chrono, clear case back and Ceramic Bezel. If so, I most probably will go for it!

Hi Soly, not on AP website yet but they have already launched a new RGRC in the form of the 26178OK.OO.D002CA.01 with the later 3126/3840 movement in. I doubt AP will launch 2 different 42mm RG but then again they have the 44mm in FC and Ceramic with the same dial. Love the Doha edition but would have preferred ceramic pushers.

I think your right...
Was chatting with AD yesterday and he eluded to the fact that the 42mm line up will feature some ceramic bez models, possibly replacing the RC versions. Also think there is a new Schumi coming too but not a ROO - should be interesting

New Schumi? That would be a blockbuster! Especially that Michael is in this very unfortunate state. However, I do think that AP should hold off any Schumi release until he gets better.

These rendered pics never show true beauty of ceremic bezel, so live pics and in person it will be amazing... It just lacks a tapisery :(

scares me when all the screw heads line up ,,,,, some must be over tightened and others loose ,,, no one can cut screws that exactly ,,,, can they ?
nice watch though |

ok , but they cant all line up with the exact amount of torque and be so perfect ,,, well , not in my world. i think they are actually what we used to call , book screws , now known as sexbolts, actually they really are called sexbolts.

In reality, (vs the photo rendering) the bottoms screw heads will Not line up. Just like your watch will not perpetually read 10 past 10

ah ,,, thats the answer i was after ,,, thank god for that ,,,, i know that car makers do lots of funny things on car photo shoots , paint wheel arches black , fill the car with sandbags etc ,,, but no problems at all if they do really put them together properly in real life ,, its a bit like the older iwc ingineur dial that just had holes anywhere they were when the proper torque was applied. |
