Still within +- 1sec after 2 months...
My almost 2 month old 42mm Exp2 remains within 1 second without having to adjust using the winding crown.
When I got the watch, I noticed that it kept perfect time during the day. I take the watch off to sleep. I noticed that it gains roughly a second when laying flat on my nightstand and loses roughly a second when placed sideways with crown at 12 o'clock position. So...the trick has been to alternate between placing the watch flat and sideways and I'm amazed that technique actually works! I have worn several mechanical watches over the last 30 year and must say that this is by far the closest I have gotten to perfection! |

My DSSD has been tracking at exactly +/- 0 (against my cell phone) for the last 3 weeks or so. I am in awe!

When you get to my mature age and have the health problems I have been going through this year, I am glad I can read the time on my watch when I wake up.My main concern is that everyday I beat my own previous record for number of consecutive days I've stayed alive. Now that's far more important than worrying and constant checking for a few seconds out of 86400 in a day.

Wish my Explorer II was that accurate. Beginning to think that level of accuracy is an urban legend.

Any mechanical watch can be regulated to perform and my Patek and my Lange are more accurate than my Rolex watches that run within COSC spec

Wow, so after more than 30 years of collecting and wearing a diverse range of automatic watches including Breitling, Omega, Rolex, Roger Dubuis, and Swatch and noticing that Rolex was consistently the most accurate brand, this is just a fluke and I'm probably just a noob who got lucky with the dozen or so Rolex models in my collection. Thanks for enlightening me and sorry for sharing my experience. |

I have not checked mine for couple months, it used to gain 2 seconds a day, not bad.

Crown down for me at night and normal wear all day has kept my new 114060 +/- 0 for a few weeks now

Great accuracy in a mechanical watch! It is great to get the beauty of a Rolex, without having to worry about adjusting it after it sits on the dresser overnight. Since you reminded me, it's time to check the Naval Observatory's master atomic clock for a time check!

When I got my new EXPII (216570) last September it was +7s/day so I had it regulated right away. It was then consistently +1s/day. I got out of the habit of checking it and hadn't done so for awhile. Two weeks ago I checked again and found it's now at 0.3s/day. I wear it 24/7. Resting it in different positions overnight seemed to have no effect. Could not be happier.

Good stuff, mine runs fast so every week or so I'll pull the crown and let it sit a minute. Usually outs it right on track

I'm fairly new here and was wondering what the best way to check this for my YM? I usually match it up to my cell phone and go. I don't wear it at work since there is a possibility it could be damaged and I would be depressed. I wear it when I go home, best part of the day, however sometimes it stops due to lack of activity. Long story short, too late, what do you use?

I have a Airking 14000 from about 1991. It was a gift from a Lodge Brother about 8 years ago. As far as I know it's never been serviced. It runs about -5 seconds a day. One of these days I'll send it in for the spa treatment.
