BEST pictures of 2005!!
Hi guys,
Come on, let's get this thread going with lots of pics from all of you. All you have to do is post a picture of anything...a watch, person...just about any damn thing...which you feel looks terrific and is, in your opinion, the BEST picture of this year!! My vote goes out to this one...the most touching image of a father and a son on the beach...and a picture of the cutest little fella you can imagine!! Little Josh has just gotta be the most lovable, squashable, cuddleable, kissable kid on this block!!!

Don't worry JJ. Pictures will be coming soon because we're probably getting a new camera today.

This is one of my favourites.
After trying to catch an image of this great grey shrike in the daylight and failing. I took a chance on this shot and I think it came out alright.

A bit late, but as I don't have a watch to photograph until wednesday, here are a few of my favourite shots from 2005
This one was by chance, not photoshop...didn't realise the jet was there until i opened the image up on the pc Took this one out of the window of a Virgin 747 over Southern Greenland on the way to L.A. (then 2 weeks at wsop in Vegas) Been trying for years to get a decent photo of a male Bearded Reedling, still not perfect but it cheered me up |

Great picture Andy(?), I think I might have to try digiscoping.

Thanks everyone. Yep, that's my personal website, though I run a few big vB boards as well.
Although I known for 'digiscoping', the moon and bird shot was with more traditional methods of a dslr and big lens (nikon d2x and 600mm f4 + teleconverter). cheers Andy |

Nice pics Andy!! You and Adrian(Uncle AJ) have a common theme of great pics of birds. JJ, this is not an excuse to post one of your pics.

This one means a lot, our first holiday after Anne's recovery from cancer, my daughter Kayleigh on the right, her niece Soraya on the left. Picture taken in Portugal last August.

Thanks JJ, but there are much better pics, technically speaking. Besides, I never really liked that pic of him. He looks goofy with those shades on, lol This one I like: More closely represents the mischevious lil bugger BTW, I'm about to have to uninstall the toilet he threw his plastic ball down just as it was flushing.......... |

How about one of me and my dog? AND you can see my Rolex. By the way, can someone, please, tell me how to make the picture embedded, and not included as a thumbnail?

Thanks!
Thanks, Padi and Ed! The problem is I don't host my pictures anywhere like photobucket, so just upload them from my home computer. T

First picture posting on this site
Please bear with me if this doesn't work: but it's a picture of our house (on the Island) that we (nearly) finished having renovated in 2005 - hence I like the picture, even if it doesn't have great photographic qualities We still don't live there, due to working elsewhere, but we'll get there eventually!
Let's see if this works.... (Thanks to Earl to get it to embed properly...) I'll try a smaller pic: our boat in lumpy seas last January.... and that works too.... great! Last edited by Islander; 19 January 2006 at 05:40 AM.. |
