Changing LV to Black Bezel

I am debating a SUB or Yacht, specifically for the MAXI dial. As most of you have mentioned, there is a color conflict regarding the GREEN bezel. I was wondering if it may be worth switching out the bezel for a black one and preserving the green bezel for later resale? I think the Yacht may be a better road to travel so i do not have the hassle of Rolex denying service? I am new to the Forum and thank you in advance for your responses!

Welcome to TRF enjoy your stay here

If i were you i would change the bezel too. I prefer the maxi dial and i think that it would be good to preserve the green bezel for later resale. Some people like the bezel change and some don't i guess it has to do with the personal preference that people have. The SS/plat Yacht is definetely a beautiful watch. If rolex denies to service the watch because of the bezel change then just install the original bezel to the watch before sending it for service. If you are looking for a practical every day watch i think that you should go for the sub but if you are after a more blingy and dressy watch i think that you should go after the SS/plat yacht but that's just me. My advice for you is to go and try both of them and see which one you like the most.

I'm planning on doing what frostie suggests. I have an LV and although I love the green bezel I plan on swapping it for black just for the change. When it comes to service time I'm gonna swap it back.

You do not need to swap the bezel back when you send it in for service..

Just pop out the black one, send it in empty, and they will replace with a fresh greeny..

Now you got spares...

Well, we're really talking inserts....they're 50 to 100 bucks at service time.

Great idea Larry! I'd easily pay this for added security and resale value. Plus, it's always good to have extra parts!

Black bezel and dial + maxi case = Nice custom LV = nice!

I agree, Warren. Let's change that ridiculous kermit bezel with the standard black one.
