Scammer Alert Update
I was just contacted by a vigilant watch forum member who was contacted by the scammer pretending to be me and again copying and using my references. NOW THAT I HAVE CONFRONTED HIM, HE HAS CHANGED HIS EMAIL FROM [email protected] TO [email protected] - SO DO NOT RESPOND IF CONTACTED BY THIS EMAIL. This is consistent with the modus operandi of the scammer who stole Stan Sypien's identity - when discovered, he makes subtle changes to his contact information. This time his scam was in response to the other member's WTB for an AP on another forum. AGAIN, GUYS, BE SUPER CAREFUL WITH WTBs!! Below are the 1) email from the member who was skeptical and contacted one of my references, then me, and 2) the emails he received from the scammer at [email protected]. I've also attached the pics the scammer sent. These are undoubtedly someone else's pics that he stole.
Be careful out there. The Real Tom Ciesielski (Sent to me by vigilant forum member) "Hi Tom Hope all is well, my name is Mark XXX. I received all your contact from a mutual friend XXX. I am a newbie on the forums but am longtime friend with many users. I had posed a WTB ad on time zone and was approached by someone pretending to be you. I have attached all communication, he is contacting people from 2 different email addresses; and is claiming to be in the UK. Let me know if you need anything else." ______________ (Sent by scammer from [email protected]) "For sale is my beloved AP ROC 25860 with black dial. It is in excellent condition Comes with wood box, papers, green outer box and all links. F Serial, TZ 95% I'm asking a fair $9,500.00 for everything which includes shipping via FedEx and insurance to your doorstep. Watch and I are located in UK Thanks Tom" _____________ (Sent by scammer using [email protected]) "Here are some refs of me http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php...o=660606&rid=0 http://www.network54.com/Forum/35339...+%28ctomsee%29 Thanks Tom" __________________ (Pics he attached to the email above - undoubtedly stolen) |
