Great live video of the SD4C
This gives a much better idea of how the dial looks in real life.

It looks nice but for some reason that I can't put my finger on, it doesn't seem to look the way I hoped it would.
Let's just say I won't be rushing to trade my 114060 anytime soon and it won't knock the 214270 off my shopping list. |

I like this watch just trying to figure out if I like it that much more than a sub c date for the money. Still would like to know the thickness. As for the dial, I'm sure I'm alone on this, but I'd have liked to have seen them frame the date box with the same white gold they framed the hour markers with to make the dial a little more balanced. Obviously with a cyclops you don't have to worry about balance but I think it would have been a nice touch on the SD.
OP Thank you for the link. |

As for having white gold surrounds on the date, I believe their reasoning is to make the date as integrated to the dial as possible. |

Love it, especially the dial. I will have to get used to the end links being longer than the lugs...

I don't think a matte and often grey looking dial matches with a shiny ceramic bezel, matte bezel would be better. Also it looks a little too thick for a 40mm watch in my eyes, 42mm would have been better, and I don't need the extra WR. Subc is still my preference.
