36mm DJ - Wanting to source a substitute sapphire crystal...

Does anyone know where can I find a gen substitute sapphire Crystal for 36mm datejust. Are those being sold on ebay for 35 bucks even close the original's quality?

A sapphire crystal is just that a sapphire crystal and long as its the correct size it should fit with the correct new gasket. But myself would only use a genuine Rolex one and have it changed at normal routine service time they are not all that expensive then. And will add its only advisable if its got a acrylic crystal then only change to acrylic only.

The ones on ebay are of good quality. However, they are often supplied with incorrect gaskets. I would look for a genuine one with its genuine gasket.

Aftermarket crystals can be had from J Borles or Otto Frei and other Watchmaker supply houses..

ebay is the last place I would go for a crystal..
