Help. Need some expert information

I have an Explorer II 16550 Black Dial with a 9 million serial number which if I'm correct denotes a 1988 production year.
My concern is the other night I noticed that in the dark my hour markers glow as they should but none of the hands glow as brightly as the markers.

Any thoughts or words of wisdom?

If it bugs you either get the hands re-lumed or fit a replacement set of modern hands, keeping the original hands to preserve value of the watch.

I would do nothing and wait until nothing glows. That day will come.

Thanks for the advice I didn't know you could get the hands re lumed wonder what the cost would be for that?
I want to keep the original hands on the watch for sure and wouldn't consider even replacing them.
