Hi all

I'm sure those that are interested in acquiring a Milgauss are thinking about this question - so I thought it is worth a discussion.

Here are the key points:

Price - I visited a Rolex boutique and they confirmed the price of both models will be the same (currently £5,500).
Dial - Apart from obviously one being black and the other a sunburst blue colour, there is another difference. The blue model has all white markers, the black has white markers apart from in positions 3, 6 and 9 which are yellow/orange.
Anniversary edition - The black GV is the anniversary edition and the blue is just another Milgauss. From an investment perspective in the long term this could be a factor.

I have to go blue. I think the Milgauss is a "fun" watch, and the blue fits that categorization perfectly.

Just playing devils advocate here... The blue maybe nice in the beginning but will that attraction last long term?

I like the blue dial with orange accents, and prefer it's consistently coloured hour markers, however I do not think the green crystal and blue dial are complimentary. I would much rather see this with a clear crystal.

For this reason I voted the black dial GV.

You also noted the GV is the anniversary model, however that doesn't mean much in terms of being limited. It is still being sold. In fact the original black dial version with the clear crystal has apparently been discontinued.

Not just that - the blue dial has orange 1/60ths marks instead of white ones.

I agree. Blue with a clear crystal would have been better.

I agree. I used to own the black dial GV. I would rather have seen the blue dial with a clear crystal. It seems like a little too much going on with the blue dial and the green crystal. Definitely will have to see in person.

Agree 100%. I owned the GV and have the same feelings. I wish the blue dial just came with a clear crystal. I kind of get that the green sapphire is becoming the trademark so to speak of the model but I think the new Milgauss might have too much going on. I also get that is the intent. I think the green crystal really works with the matte black dial. I think it would have been good to pair the green crystal with a silver dial. If income back to this piece again I think I am either gonna go white dial or GV.

I like the blue better in a Illinois/Syracuse kind of way. I definitely prefer the hour markers more on the blue dial.

About one week before I heard about this new release I purchased a NIB Milgauss GV from a trusted seller here. If I had known I would have waited...that blue is just absolutely stunning IMO

I do not know about the bias of black GV owners, I have one and I like the blue. Maybe even a shade better. I will have to go down to an AD to compare.

I'm so impressed with the blue dial and contrasting green crystal. Definitely going to buy it. I don't care if the GV is the anniversary edition and retains value better.
