loaner wrist shot FP Journe

the Chronometer Bleu 39mm, beautiful blue dial!

i really like the way this watch looks and wears, its made of Tantalum and is very heavy relative to SS.

top quality all the way.

whats your opinion of FP Journe?

I absolutely love that watch. Had the pleasure of trying one on a few months ago, definitely needs to be seen in the flesh to fully appreciate it.

I love Journe's watches, most of them have a very interesting design and their movements are to die for.

Are you considering it Gus?

Carl,
i think i would if my friend didn't already have it:)

really appreciate its design and esthetic, very clean and original… the tantalum gave it that precious metal feel/weight.

manual & no date, feels like a very timeless piece that can be dressed upo or down

we were each appreciating the similarity of use between the journe and the Aquanaut i was wearing…equally suffering from the grass is always greener

Interesting watch for sure. The gold movement is extraordinay, but so is the service cost from what I have read.

Looks good but I wasn't too pleased with the lack of service at the journe boutique in bal harbour I received last week.

The movement is a stunner on this piece. Not sure I favor the layout of the Arabic numbers.

This is a nice watch from FP Journe. The blue dial is beautiful and the tantalum case is quite unique. I had a chance to try this watch on at a boutique recently along with their Chronometre Souverain, Tourbillon souverain and the Minute Repeater Souverain.

I believe it is FP Journe's least expensive (entry level if you can call it that) watch model starting at ~ $20K. There are certainly many excellent watches at this price level, but certainly deserves a serious consideration.

Dial fonts seem a little too big on a few FPJ's, reduces their classiness for me.

Tried this watch on at the boutique in NYC last fall. I absolutely loved the look and feel! Easily dresses up or down.

This is the problem, I love too many watches!

I love that watch! I have been debating this one for a while. I just get back to this feeling that in 20 or 30 yrs it might be hard to service? It is beautiful all around.

so incredibly nice and at such low production volumes, very incredibly rare.

not having a limitless watch budget, though, i would be afraid to invest so much in a boutique brand that could easily disappear (especially from a servicing perspective).

I had the very beautiful FP Journe in the past (Octa Chrono Pt).

Amazing watches. Beautiful movements.

Go ahead for it.

They make beautiful watches. Concern I would have is if they will be around in 20 years or so like others have mentioned.

agree the assurance of longevity is a question, however at this point im not sure I will be around in 20 years either

always a possibility that the company gets picked up by a larger house, this would imho be both a blessing and a curse

Had the chance to check this piece out. Very nice. Love the dial with all the complication. Watch had a great feel on the wrist.

Chronometre Bleu is my favorite FPJ even though it's also the most affordable. Really a great watch on the wrist and the way the dial throws the light in contrast to the tantalum case is amazing. I've tried it on at my local AD a couple times in the last couple months but haven't been able to pull the trigger.

Anyone have an idea of what FPJ charges for a regular service? Just curious.

Great watch. I'm not a fan of the 8 on the dial. Wish it was a cut out instead of a smaller font.
