Sea Dweller 4000 = massive disappointment IMHO.
I went to collect my sea dweller 4000 today but I came away empty handed. I was so disappointed at how small it wore compared to my subc. Anyone else found this so far?

I think you are the first to be disappointed!
Maybe it's the way the bezel overlaps on the Sub-C?

It has only shorter lugs but other than that it's the same size as the subc ? I don't think size is issue here surely. Was there anything else you could say was a negative with the SDC ive yet to handle one.

I'm not surprised. It's why I got the DSSD instead of waiting for this. It's thicker than the Sub C and still 40mm. I think it fills the void between the Sub and the DSSD though.

That's why they make different references. Be awfull boring if we all had the same one.

I for one am very happy it wears smaller. My old SD was such a nice package, it's only negative was it lacked a maxi dial. Now with the SDc the problem is solved plus I feel the case looks more handsome and a matte dial to boot. Could've had a dome but you can't get everything and this separates it more clearly from the Deepsea. With the exception of my Deepsea I'm all for smaller watches. Right on. |

Congrats. It takes courage to walk away from the hype and AD pressure.

You know, that's sort of the legacy of the SD. It had a smaller dial than the Sub but fatter bezel so it always wore kinda of "small" visually even though it was the same size.
So it looks like this new SDc continues that legacy. I like that it wears small, unfortunately it doesn't move me more than my Deepsea so I don't think I'll be getting it like I initially thought. It's good you realized this little trait at the AD versus taking it home and then having remorse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

how was the thickness of the watch - did it sit on your wrist like the pre ceramic SD?
