Another seller on ebay was selling the exact same watch, but he disclosed that most parts were not original. Please see thread on TRF:
http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=350308 The problem I have with this seller is that he states that the watch is original. He even invents a story that doesn't make any sense... Someone is going to lose big bucks if we don't do anything... |

Don't think it's the same watch. The one in the other thread you just mentioned has "superlative chronometer officially certified" on it while this one doesn't seem to have it.

I agree. Two different sellers, different watches. One seller in Vietnam and one in Dublin, Georgia.

Sure, different sellers (one in Dublin, one in Vietnam), but same fake sub model.
One says all original ...from a colonel..., the other one says all aftermarket ...project watch. I wrote that so you can compare the two watches, as all the parts come from the same fakers. For example, just look at the font of the bezel insert with red triangle. It should be more rounded...the case was aged artificially to give it a vintage look...The parts between the lugs are pristine, no marks which is very suspicious ... The crown is 1000% fake! the dial is the exact same dial you can buy from the usual fakers! ... |

It finally sold for $14'100.
I looked at the two 6538 auctioned at Antiquorum this coming Sunday. There are estimated at $35k and $50k respectively (low estimation). An average model usually sell between $25k and $35k... Now either the buyer on ebay had an incredible bargain or he paid a lot for a Junk watch... I personally feel sorry for him...but tried my best to cancel this transaction... |
