116610 authenticity
Hey guys quick question I have an opportunity to purchase another 116610 I wanted to ask the advice of the pros. I only have pictures to go with. A friend of a friend is selling this watch. the price isn't a steal but its fair. I just dont want to disappoint my friend and tell him that his friends watch is a fake without getting all the details. I spent a good amount of time comparing my 116610 to this one and I cant conclude. No papers. Let me know what you think.

I say fake. The ceramic bezel looks terrible, pearl is off, the numbering looks crooked at parts and the lines around the 10 are also off. It is tough to see from the pic angle, but in the first pic you can start to see the engraving on the rehaut is also not lining up perfectly with dial minute marks. Lastly, looks like there is no anti reflection applied to the cyclops and the coloring looks off on bezel...though it could just be dirty....so tough to tell on that.

Need better pics to be sure but it looks off to me. I am only looking in a small phone screen though.

Doesn't look good at all. More photos would help to be sure but as it stands I say it's a junker.

One thing I do like is the magnification. I sat in my bed for 20 minutes trying to compare my 4 on the date wheel compared to his and it looks good.

I think the bezel is way off too. That's enough for me to pass.
Can you handle the watch before you buy? |

I'd never buy a new series Rolex with no papers at a great price from a friend of a friend. All I see is red flags.

This looks terrible. Fake. Pass. Mag is wrong, no anti coating. Bezel not ceramic engraved and crisp by any means. Finishing on watch is way too dull.

Insert all wrong. Dial wrong.
A "fair price" for this would yield the seller a massive profit for his $150 investment. Some friend. |
