Icon10 New Rolex :)

Well as some of you know ive been through :

Datejust, Sub, LV, Sea Dweller, Daytona, Ceramic Sub....

Well I sold my last one to clear funds for moving house.

Today I spotted this lovely datejust in Watches of Switzerland Pre-Owned store in Glasgow....1991, 18ct fluted bezel, the dial I like, and the jubilee bracelet.

I went in to see it, and it was stunning, with box and papers totally as new. It had also just come back last week from Rolex for a full service, new sapphire crystal due to a little chip, and some new links.

As a result I have bagged an near immaculate DJ for half new price. The only mark is a tiny little dent on the lugs above the number 1, and it has a touch of bracelet stretch but I am asking them to quote me for a whole new bracelet.

Overall, I am back into Rolex, not as upmarket as the other models that ive owned, but I am delighted to have a Rolex again, and this one will look great with my suit which I wear during the week.

Can I ask you all... The dial is Roman W according to the papers and service schedule. However it is slightly off white compared to some of the other crisp Snow White dials I have seen.

Could this just be because the watch is 20 odd years old or is it actually more of an ivory coloured dial?

Thanks in advance

New Rolex :)

Congrats! I like the dial, cream color or aging white?

Edit: just saw your question; should probably read.

I actually really like it the way it is.

Thanks all,
I asked the AD today about the dial colour as I was in getting the bracelet adjusted.

The manager has sold rolex for around 20 years and said it's an ivory dial. I've seen newer ivory Arabic dials but never this plain ivory dial. She assures me you could order plain ivory dials back in the very early 90's.

I like the ivory dial. To my knowledge Rolex even today offers a DJII model with an ivory dial.
