Opinion needed Rolex 1665 white

Hi All

seeking opinion about this watch (want to buy it).

I know it all original, except the bezel.

watch from 79, with Rolex papers and service last year.

what is your opinion re the case and dial?
price is on the higher side (really don't care much-as long as the verdict that case and dial are GR8- as its a keeper for me).

what do you think? go for it?

tnx M8s

T.

I won't repeat everything I said in my emails, but you should also get some good feed-back here! Best of luck!

Here's my mint 1665 make sure it's perfect and checked out fully with recent service would be best - look for thick case and perfect matching dial and hands. Look forward to your incoming thread

I was recently considering a rail dial similar to this an others' opinions were quite helpful. Basedd on the work i did, i see the following:

What is serial number? Make sure it's within the well accepted range for rail dial.
Hard to tell from pics but it seems highly polished. (Very hard to find a RD with thick case).
Bracelet also highly polished (see Rolex imprint on clasp).
Bracelet may be missing a link or two.
Dial looks good to me.
Not sure from these pics if crystal is correct for this watch. Need profile pic.

Good luck. Rail dial is rare bird and i'd love to own one.

I'd love to see photos in natural light and no flash (always better). That flash washes out the dial and shows virtually none of the patina of the tritium. The case has a little too much polish for my liking, but doesn't look too bad. Hard to find them super fat anyway, so for the right price I like it! Good luck either way.
