Will the future vintage market be inundated with identical examples with varying metal wear and given there is little left to 'improve' what would you guess is the future for C models? Have Rolex hit the Endgame?

The Cs will certainly be less unique years down the line with no variation in discoloration, etc. At some point the currect Cs will come to an end of production one would imagine 10-15 years down the line however.

Considering how many seem to get dropped on tile floors I suspect non-cracked ceramic bezels will be a rarity in the future...

I was thinking this too recently, and can't see what the next gen bezel inserts would be made of - forged carbon, titanium, tungsten and rubber are very doubtful.

Some day when the latest bezel is a thin film of organic LED that streams news, email, vital signs or whatever, Forum people will be looking back fondly at the "vintage" ceramics and seeking out the different ways they crack, scratch or discolor (if any of that is even possible).

Deeply colored sapphire bezel inserts with platinum numbers deposited on etched slots. bezel metal will match case and bracelet, perhaps a metal dense like platinum. Maybe iridium alloy, or palladium or osmium.

The bezel insert itself may not change much in the generation of models - but the case material could. Then you'l have the SS-c models being considered "vintage" and the CC-c models (Ceramic Case with ceramic bezel) being modern.

Of course then there could be the real elusive white ceramic cased Sub

They won't age, but as the rest of the watch does they'll end up looking like breast implants on a 70 year old woman. ;-)

Well, time will tell if the bezels will indeed look new decades from now.

But I'm also not really sure how Luminova or Chromalight will age, if at all.

I agree. I don't understand the fascination with a watch looking old and weathered. I get if you like some of the stylings of the vintage watches but not the discoloration, etc. But that's just me.
