OKAY TRFites, Give me your thoughts....
...I have done this in the past and always liked the feedback and thoughts. So let's try this again. First off, this is for fun, so keep the wear whatever comments in your head.
Dylan and I leave for Hawaii in less than two weeks and I am undecided as to which watch to take. I have the YM which of course can take the water and anything I throw at it, plus it has some subtle bling to it. And afterall it is a Rolex. The UN Chrono, very unique and also a bit of bling. Rated to 100m so no worries in the water either. Maybe I can time how long the flight takes. Or the 88, I have tons of straps I could take so the look would be different. I have a rubber and a cormaid velcro strap plus waterproof leather straps. And the obvious with this one, it tracks multi time zones, although I can usually add or subtract four hours from my home time. But for fun, let me know which one to take. I may take two, but I doubt it. Also, don't just vote, give me a little feedback as to why. Let's hear it.

This is a no-brainer, Daren. The YM in the blink of an eye. I wouldn't risk taking the new UN nor the Panny. For a place like Hawaii with all the surf, sun and sand...all you need is a Rolex....and the sunset!!!

Ok dman, here's my thoughts. I voted take two. Now which two? I say the YM is a no brainer. Since it's the new bie to your collection, you can take the UN and give it a good amount of wrist time. The 88 you can take because of the options you have with it, straps, bracelet. Another thing, do you want to be monkeying around changing straps on vacation? I know it's not a big deal but it is vacation. I like it the best on the bracelet. As JJ said CRACKER. That is my favorite looking Pam.
So anyway, you asked, there's my .02.

When I read the first post, I thought exactly the same thing as Paul - why spend time changing straps when you should be enjoying Hawaii? Take the YM, wear it with anything without worrying about it and focus on enjoying your holiday, mate!

I voted to take 2, but I am going against the grain a bit here to suggest that you leave the YM at home and take the others. Here's my logic:
The YM you know and love already, and you are still somewhat unsure of the UN from what I gather. I would say take the UN for the purpose of spending some time with it to really understand if this is your 3rd wheel. The only reason I even suggest taking the 88 along is it's versatility with the straps - you can make it look like whatever you need to suit the occasion. |

I had to go with "Take 2". I tend to do that when I travel, because I like to be able to switch off now and then. As for which two, that's tougher. I would probably take the UN and the PAM. The UN because it is still new and deserves some serious wrist time. And it would be fun to time the flights. I do that when I wear my chronos on the plane.
The PAM because of the second time zone. It saves me from having to do the calculations to figure out what time it is back home. I've got a similar problem. I'm already trying to decide which watch(es) to take to London next month. At this point, I'm leaning toward the GMT and the Breitling. The GMT because it is my favorite, especially for travel due to the second time zone, and the Breitling because I am really enjoying it and it will be fun to time the flights. Ah, decisions, decisions. Would that all of life's decisions were this tough.

YM hands down.
My pet peeve is "wet straps" after wearing in the water. Also, the annoyance of washing your strap after the ocean water. Not worth it. The YM was made for this trip. |

Do you see a Panny or UN in this picture? I rest my case.

Seems like a compelling reason Dave.

I'm with Al and Ed on this one. Take the UN and the PAM for the reasons they stated. I'm sure you'll see TONS of Rolex in Hawaii, so don't take it cuz you know it's the permanent fixture in your collection. The UN needs a good test and can work as your 'dress' watch, while the PAM has the GMT feature and is also an excellent watch for the water.
Pretty simple to me. BTW Paul, I agree. |

YM for sure. You may sell the others so no use risking any scratches, but you'll never sell the YM.
