Another nice Ball watch... which movement? Having a day/date is an advantage. All the 2824 movements I've seen lack the day wheel.

Very nice watch. I love the Ball as it is a classic. The lume is outstanding as is the dial, hands and everything else. It is just a nice watch period.

Thanks! The lume is amazing, especially for its consistent illumination. The RR second hand gives a finishing touch to it, a quality watch for a decent price IMO.

I believe you can also get this watch with a black dial however dosen't it only come on a leather strap? I would like to see the black dial on a steel braclet. I am really torn between the 2. I am pretty sure this is going to be my next purchase.
Sys12345, Where did you get your balls?

Hi N9zez,
For more info for bracelet / strap / dial combination, please refer to http://www.ballwatchusa.com/collecti...terLESCJSL.htm. However, i believe this model is no longer in production since its a limited edition of 999pcs. Some ADs may still have stock for it, though i'm not sure if u can get hold of your preferred combination. I purchased my 1st Ball from a Singapore AD and my last 2 from a HK AD. More info of my HK trip here : http://watchtalkworld.proboards84.co...lay&thread=666 Quote:

n9zez, the only Rolex i have right now is a very old DJ (80s), here's a pic of it...
Its not getting much wrist time as i find it a little too small on my wrist. However, it has sentimental value as it was a gift from my dad. Its also way over due for a service (no thanks to my Ball purchases). I'm now considering between a 16710 and a 116710, though these models are pretty hot in demand here in Singapore and have driven prices beyond their listed. In any case, i'm hoping to get it during my next HK trip.

n9zez, i think u wanted to make a size comparison between the 2? Must have been reading your post too quickly , here's a side by side shot between my EMII Classic (same case & size with my EMII Chronometer LE) and my Rolex 16710A ...

It looks fantastic with a black leather strap. There's a black leather option for it.
Check these out: http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthr...t=emii+classic http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthr...t=emii+classic http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthr...t=emii+classic http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthr...t=emii+classic Hope it helps!

Amazing how the larger dial makes it look larger than GMT, both being 40mm.

I think the perception of size is influenced by 2 factors here:
1) The EMII Classic sits taller than the 16710 when the pic was taken 2) The dial is indeed smaller on the 16710 as some of the estate space has been taken by the rotating bezel. The EMII Classic on the other hand has a clean and relatively thin bezel.

Thanks sys12345! Very nice combos. Even the rubber option fits it.
BTW can anybody tell what this one is? It's on one of the threads you've linked.
