A few tweaks to a 116610...

If you're a purist walk away....

Replaced crystal with one from a 114060....

Chamfered the lug edges.....

Chopped and pointed the crown guards....

I think it's a winner. All work was done by ABC watchwerks. Subtle differences but really changes the look...

Great mods. The smallest details make the biggest difference.

man, grind those lugs down and you'll have a budget SD (minus the depth rating).

I like.

Why stop there, put in an AP dial and call it a day

Seriously tho I like the crystal but not the shaving of the crown guards and the chamfers, too much overmodding the integrity of a Rolex timepiece for me.

My thoughts exactly. But each to their own.

Looks good.

Personally I don't have any issues with the cyclops. What I would like to see is a much greater chamfer on the case edges rather than a minimal pass........

It's not for everybody but I really like the look. I especially like not having the cyclops.

I love the chamfered lugs but the poor crown guard!

If only someone would make a domed acrylic replacement crystal for the Sub/GMT.

I bet that they would sell tens of thousands. $50 profit x 25,000 = $1.25m net! How much would you pay for one? I'd spend up to $500.

How hard can it possibly be to manufacture a watertight acrylic crystal? Of all the vintage features, I miss domed and chamfered crystals the most.

I'm not to sure on the crown guards, but hey, overall it's a unique and tasteful mod IMO!
