Buying a pam164

Hi all,

I need some advise please.

Just been offered a pam 164 for around £1900 ($3252)with box but no papers. A rolex man, but considering adding a Panerai, so wondering if it is a good deal. Watch is in great condition.

Any advise greatly welcomed.

Thanks

Lawrence

Love the 164, but, at that price, I would be very, very cautious.

Thanks for the advise. Even without the papers, it is too cheap?

If it is too good to be true, it often is.

It is really, really cheap. However, difficult to be prescriptive about the value of papers. To some it maters the world, to ohter it maters not a great deal, so the value is in the eyes of the beholder so to speak.
I got a great deal a while ago on one of my purchases. I thought nit was too good to be true, but I researched it obsessively and in the end decided to take the plunge as it all checked out. I am very happy i did. The point is, at that price be very careful, but if you take all precautions and do your research you may just land up witht hte real thing. I wouldnt write it off at all.
My two cents worth...
Best of luck with it whatever you decide to do.
