I realize this is an old thread but I find myself searching for the same information.

What I do know is that I picked up the 116610LN for the second time ...a few weeks ago from the local Ottawa AD thanks to a members advice here...and the CDN MSRP for the 116610LN is $9100.

When I was looking into purchasing the BLNR, I called Rolex Canada and asked for the price. Surprisingly, they wouldn't give it to me like they used to in the past. I was told I would need to visit an AD and get the pricing info from them. I was then asked where I lived and they'd give me a list of dealer's closest to me.

I didn't call the AD, but instead walked in off the street as one is near my office. I asked for a 2014 price list. The sales girl told me price lists in Canada no longer exist. She pulled out this large Rolex 3-ring binder and asked me what I was looking for. She then went into the binder, flipped to a page and told me the price from the binder.

I guess they no longer offer these sheets like they used to. They used to come on a separate 4-sheet when you got the catalog. Now you just get the catalog, but no prices.

Strange, when I got my BLNR from my AD a few weeks ago they give me a 13/14 catalogue and a separate accompanying price booklet that mached up with the watches and page refs in the catalogue, all official Rolex, but that's UK.

I've always wondered if in this day and age Rolex's reluctance to make prices an easy to get piece of information benefits them. Or is it just a long standing tradition?

From what I have been told from my AD, is that Rolex Canada no longer supplies the price list and has not done so for the past few years. The last time I received a price list was from my late 2010 catalogue. Since then, all of the catalogues have not included the price list. There was no reasoning for this change. As noted in an-above response, AD's now have a large book with the prices and pictures of the models for the customer to look at.

Personally, I preferred the price list.

I bought my LVC 2 weeks ago that had an MSRP of $9700. Didn't pay that of course!
Not sure why there is a $600 premium for the Green vs. Black sub C.
Seems like a money grab but I fell for it regardless.

Sorry to bring this up but I guess that is the consensus? No price lists available? I guess I'll have to email my AD to get the list prices for each watch?

3) SeaDweller 4000 - $11200

Based on these prices, the current exchange rate and the impending price increase.............I am surprised that the borders are not currently flooded with TRF members.

That is a good thought. If I were American and lived by the border, I would be purchasing watches in Canada. Even with the hit you will take at the border, it is still worth the trip.

This seems wacky.

Oakville last week.AD.

YM 16623 TT $13,350

YM in SS with Blue Dial 10 something. Wasnt shopping for that so not sure.

TT Sub 14,450

I would have offered a min of a grand less. Who knows.

Price stickers on watch.

Told without even asking that taxes were included.

About a week before Christmas. Larry

Double checked that TT YM price on tuesday of this week.

The prices I listed are straight from the AD's price list for 2014 after the prices went up last May. Was there this afternoon.

Its cool that unlike Patek, Rolex price is consistent (or so it seems) across the country. Was quoted the same price for a 116622 blue dial here in Halifax a few days ago.

I think that the no price list is a strategy akin to the 'scrambled' serial...

It would benefit the dealers...and to be fair to them....Rolex has been slashing their profit margins, so this is a small bone to throw..

Especially with the Canadian dollar nose-diving - the prices could change more often....

Easier to change a Document file, than to re-print and distribute paper lists...

I always felt that if a stale 'V' serial were in a display case, you could have the bargaining advantage of knowing that the dealer only paid 60% of whatever the MSRP was at that time (8600 on the 116610(?))....

Now they are paying 65% (ish) on higher MSRP...so I would think abolishing the price list and scrambling the numbers allows the Dealer to "not show his hand" as much...

or could just be cost cutting at Rolex HQ

With the weak Canadian dollar and duty, there is not much incentive for Canadians to shop in the US.

In total agreement. Did the math on a 116613 LB from David SW vs my AD and after the conversion rate, the price from my AD was slightly less than what David was selling for and I got a brand new 116613 LB and my name and current date on the warranty card.

Got my sub last July for $7400 cash at the AD. And our $ was a lot stronger then. Might look into a BLNR soon.

Yes I did the same math and came to the same conclusion it's cheaper and more convenient to buy from a local AD in Canada.....assuming you can find the watch your after.
No duty and shipping to pay....and u don't have to worry about it getting damaged or lost in transit. Win win.
