My new baby: 1665 DRSD

Early Mark IV, 1975, only ever slightly polished, sharps lugs, keeping better time after 40 years than my Deepsea (which was used as a part trade on this baby). After missing my flight and having 24 hrs to kill in Frankfurt, I discovered this beauty in a vintage watch shop. After missing up on purchasing a DRSD 6 months ago, i sent the photos to my wife for her input, and her answer was "buy it!". Now sitting proudly on my arm on a tan nato strap :)

Thanks guys, i have been looking at a vintage 5513 for a while, and dreamed and lusted after a red 1680, and even tried one on once, so it was a bit overwhelming when i went to gym last night and looked down at my wrist and realised i was wearing a DRSD 1665...

The watch came from Meertz in Munich, but i purchased it from All About Watches in Frankfurt, who seem to mainly do more modern watches.

Looks good. The 1665 is a great model and all the more so with a touch (or a couple of touches) of red

That's a lovely example on your wrist. There are plenty of us who dream about owning such a nice looking watch. Enjoy it and wear it everyday...!
