Anyone own a Damasko DC56?

They look interesting but they don't seem to be in Australia - would be interested in throughts and photos.

I've had one for about three years.

For a no bling, hard as nails tool watch it's hard to beat. The case is amazing. Mine has no scratch marks, scuffs or swirls whatsoever, despite being banged on many hard objects. It is seriously tough.

I love the white hands and numbers. Mine keeps great time, within three seconds a day (although not as consistent in timekeeping as my other automatics).

But.... I never wear it anymore. It has one weakness for me. The lume is ordinary. It is C1 superluminova which gives a nice white finish during daylight but disappoints in the dark. I'm a bit of a lume whore (I'm even slightly disappointed with my SubC's lume) and I've replaced the watch in my rotation by a Doxa Sub. I may re-lume it to C3 one day in which case you wouldn't get it off my wrist.

I've owned a DC66 chronograph for a short period of time. The watch didn't stayed with me for too long because the watch looked bigger (and very flat) than the 42mm case would suggest. And the lume was less than satisfactory. Otherwise, the spec looks great on paper and seems to be a great tool watch.

The thickness is my main concern, I can easily handle a 40mm dial but I've got a skinny wrist so I reckon it'd look ridiculous, it's interesting you pick up on this point. I love the look and it seems great bang for the buck but alas I think the thickness is a killer blow.

Nice photos!
