Stopped by my AD for first Rolex.... dilema

I stopped by an AD in Scottsdale today and spent some time chatting and trying on some watches. I'm looking for my first Rolex. I currently have a Hamilton, Oris, and Tissot, so I'm looking to upgrade. The Rolex will probably see the most wrist time, but I'll still wear the others.

Prior to trying on, I was leaning towards the DJ II. But then I tried on the GMT and now I'm not so sure. One fine looking watch. I'm looking for some opinions from the fine folks on this forum. For the record, I'm a software engineer that dresses in Polo shirts in the summer, and long sleeve dress shirts in the winter. Rarely am I in a tie.

Thanks for any quips and qualms.

Mark

Your opinion is the only one that matters. Get the one that you can't stop thinking about.

Congrats in advance!

All great watches. Since you asked, I would rank them in terms of my choices as:
1- GMT
2- Blue dial Datejust
3- Silver dial datejust

Good luck..,

Regardless of profession or dress sense, I think any Rolex (definitely the one's you mention anyway), is versatile enough to suit any occasion.

Take your time. Try them all on and then try them again.

I personally prefer the sports models (given my athletic nature?! ) so of those under consideration I would go for the GMT.

Good luck with your decision. Enjoy the chase and let us know which way you go.

Of the watches shown in the pics...

I like the GMT.

But, since your like the black bezel I would consider the SDc. With the GMT I would definitely lean towards the black and blue version...stunning.

Definitely stay with a sports watch since your so casually dressed at work... Your watch becomes significantly more versatile since it can go anywhere.

If it is your first rolex and assuming you are still young, I say go for the GMT. It reflects a more sporty personality, the GMT function may be useful in your work, and it's a great piece that goes well with most clothing.

If this is your first Rolex get the GMT and I would look at the BLNR. The DJII with the blue dial looks great too. I would opt for the sport watch as my first rolex though and would urge you to do the same

Of those 3, definitely the gmt...

If not, get a Submariner...most probably your Hamilton , Oris and Tissot are dress like watches , so a diver doesn't hurt...and since you are always in Polo and long sleeves shirt, the Sub will fit in nicely on all occasion.

I've been buying everything blue dial this year, including today's.. So its gonna be a biased one

But I vote the blue sticks also

Its darker than that pic but its beautiful in light and stunning in dark as its a very dark sexy blue

If you have need for different time zones get the GMTII.
But I really like the blue stick DJII.
Get the one that smiles at you the most.
