Rolex Website!

Check out the web site , it looks like either a sub or SD. They're teasing us.

Definitely caramic bezel with the engraved numbers. Sub or SD is my guess.

it's actually a pretty nifty little tease. whatever they're teasing us with seems to be moving. capture all of the floating points of light with your mouse and then bring them to the portrion of the watch that's visible to use as a flashlight.

this is definitely the nicest thing i've ever seen rolex do with their website!

Its the new SD, the points are the glow in the dark fish that you see only at very deep depths. Collect five or so fish with your mouse and pass it around the bottom of the bezel. Nice jelly fish swimming to the left top is also visible. Ceremic for sure only thing left to see is it bigger then 40mm?

It doesn't matter what it is. They won't make enough of them and what ever it is will command a premium price. I think Rolex is forcing me to be content with what I have (which is okay mind you).

I disagee partly about making or not making enough of it/them

I disagrre because I can see that here in Denmark the new Milgauss is selling only 3 - 5 % over the listprice, and the LV is selling 2 - 6 % under listprice.

My dealer have had 2 LV subs in the window over the last 3 mounths. They were in the window about 3 - 6 weeks before they were sold, so the LV is not hard to get. However a few new Milguass I have not seen yet in the window, but 2 danish had them for sale for about 4 - 6 % above listprice.

Daytona SS is still the most desired one. Here in Denmark the waingtime is no longer than 4 - 8 mounhts right now. Nobody gets on a list anymore. The dealers donīt want to sigh people up anymore on a lwaitingist for these watches.

So I do believe that the new watches at Basel, will be aviable witin 6 mounths of wait when we get to september - december.

Unless, they donīt want to make so many of them ofcourse

Regards

Nick

yeah bryan, i'm starting to get a little disgruntled with this as well. assuming it's a strategy, which it has to be, it really doesn't do much to honor those of us that are so loyal to the brand. if it's not a strategy then they have some real morons in management that need to go back to business 101.

I disagree. I think many brand loyalist are excited to see what Rolex has up its sleeve and are truly enjoying the fun that can be had in speculting.

you missed the point.

we don't like the fact that they trickle out only a limited number to market forcing ridiculous prices. i.e. the gv and ss daytona, the ss gmt-iic when it first came out, kermit when it first came out, etc...

I think that we are not used to limited production numbers. If we look at patek or vacheron or other high end companies they are working only with limited production numbers

We got used at getting any watch that we like in just few hours but rolexes are becoming really common and i guess that rolex is trying to create an exclusive image again.

We are going to benefit from this cause demand will be higher, exclusivity bigger, prices will be higher and those that have a pretty big collection are going to see the value of their watches going up

I think that this is a necessary evil just my humble opinion
