Can someone advise the best way to keep the gold links on the tt sub date looking like new without going to the AD to have them buff it ? Some simple everyday kinda thing.

Pretty unavoidable. Try wearing a lot of long sleeve shirts

The only thing I can think of is to not wear the watch. All the scratches blend in together, it won't look bad.

Just develop an obsessive compulsive disorder when wearing the watch.

Always know you have the watch on whenever you wear it. That way you are more aware of when it might hit something and you can avoid the watch hitting things that way. You won't be avoiding the watch from hitting something completely but a majority of scratches can be avoided this way.

If you are basically aware the watch is on your wrist every second its on there, it will stay looking new for a veeeeeeeeeery long time. I learned that people get scratches on their watches because they forget they're wearing it and they take it off and see new scratches.

Of course there's also those who believe that scratches give your watch character and without them it has no character.

I've been babying mine to no end and there are fine scratches on every link. I have no idea how. I posted a question here to that affect and learned what you are hearing, that it is unavoidable. Now that I know how easily it happens I just accept its the nature of the beast. If the watch could talk it would probably tell you I've got more lines on my face or more grey hairs since it met me.

Toothpaste.....seriously!!

Use the soft, gel variety. Just dab a small bit on an old toothbrush, wet watch thoroughly and then rub the toothpaste all over the gold bits and even the steel bits.

Rinse off, give her a thorough wipe down....and PRESTO!! She'll be looking like new!!
