Flip for 116600 Sea Dweller 4000 or 114060 SubC?

I've tossed around the idea in the past of flipping my SS Daytona 116520 as I no longer have the same love for it. I decided to keep in hopes of one day passing it down to my son. In the mean time I have sized it for my wife and she has been wearing it on weekends usually. She likes the watch but could care less about what brand is on her wrist.

I purchased my first Submariner 16610 this year and have really grown to love the diving models. I have yet to acquire a ceramic model in my line up and think it might be time. If I was to flip the Daytona for either the 116600 or the 114060, which should it be? I figure a trade for Sea Dweller 4000 would be pretty close in value especially if a wait until more flood the market. Or do I go with the 114060 and put cash in my pocket. Aesthetically they are very similar, is the Sea Dweller worth the extra money? DSSD is out of the question as my wrist is too small.

Dont worry about my son, I've decided to put my 16710 Pepsi in the vault for him, esp now that they will no longer be made in SS. And the wife can wear my Explorer when she wants.

+1. I'm more of an SD fan than Daytona.

SubC and money in your pocket towards your next Rolex would be my choice.

I would go for the SD because it´s new and more special than the sub.

SDc! Soooo much to like about it! Had the sub c and although it's a classic, I think rolex got it all right with the sd 4000.

Sounds like you have the argument in place for the Daytona to go...flip it for the SDC in my opinion. But that is me. Either option for the new watch is a good one.

I would like to give you my opinion, but I can´t be bothered with looking up the reference numbers.

Sounds like me on the Patek forum! Photos really do help when asking this-or-that questions. However, Rolex and PAM are two watch brands that are frequently known by their reference numbers.

IMHO 114060 is equivalent to 911 and if you are in a Rolex forum or a Porsche forum one should know basic stuff and not ask for others to do your homework.

Submariner 114060. Not sure if I would trade the Daytona for it, but would probably trade the submariner Date 16610 for it. My own pinion of course. Good luck.

SD4000 gets my vote because I think it is the better dive watch because of the divers extension and glide lock clasp
