New Arrival
Had a TT Thunderbird and sold it, always regretted it. Been searching for a nice example on a jubilee and worked a deal with AlextheGreat123, couldn't have been smoother or more professional.
Open 6's and a warm acrylic crystal and always a huge fan of the tapestry dials |

Beautiful. I cried, er, I mean, congratulated you on another thread. This (well, one like it!) is on a short list of "The Next Rolex" for me.
That bezel is sharp and barky (texture). Looks fabulous! Enjoy it in the best of health! |

I like the thunderbirds too. I like how the bezel makes it look bigger than the standard DJ. Yours is exactly how I would like to have it if I can find the right seller. I only see them on ebay

Oh wow, first time I've seen one of those, stunning, congratulations! Seen the statement ' had one, sold it, regret it" many times though, must be a lesson in there somewhere ! :-)

Really nice watch! It's a shame that there is not a version in the current catalogue. Maybe they could introduce a new model based upon the Datejust II?

Congrats, and love that watch! In fact, wrote a post about the exact same model in reference to Todd Beamer (Let's Roll) whom died with several other hero's while trying to take back one of the hijacked airplanes on 911. They recovered his watch and his wife has lent it to a 911 museum. Here was my post: (1st link below my post is for the watch for sale, and the 2nd link is to the post about Todd Beamer's watch w/ pics of his actual watch!)
I know people have a lot of opinions on nicknames, especially the silly super hero ones, however, in tribute to Todd Beamer whom is a true american hero, I believe we believe we should nickname this model of Datejust w/ the Thunderbird bezel and Champagne Textured Dial the Beamer Special...or Beamer Datejust. In fact, a few days back I saw one in the For Sale section and I thought that is the same model that Todd Beamer had! Here it is: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...erbird-Let%27s http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/14/fa...A17%22%7D&_r=0 -Let's Roll! |
