IWC - Unknown Style
Hi guys,
Attached is a photo of one of my father's IWC watches. That he has had for over 20 years, however we don't know anything of the watch, as far as I know the hands are not original. If anyone has any information on this watch that would be great. More pictures available upon request :) Thanks in advance. |

No information for you but that is one sharp looking watch. I hope you plan to keep it in honor of your father. One can never replace those kinds of memories. My father had a rose gold pocket watch. Worth very little but I paid $300.00 to have it completely torn apart and serviced. It works great and I have a lasting memory of my father. Your Dad's watch is a beaut.

Thank you, Terry.
Believe me this watch will always be in my possession. It is just a shame I don't know more about the history of the watch. |

Hi Attila,
I'd go onto the IWC forum, there are many vintage collectors who'll recognise that... I think its a Cal.83 as t has the small seconds at 6 O'clock although couldn't say with total conviction... It's a very beautiful piece however. |

Thanks for your reply, which IWC forum are you referring to, the one on their web site?

I don't know much about IWC watches, but it looks like a "Portugieser" to me. At least the face and dial style are the same.
