I know this hit pretty close to your home Tim. It's only a matter of time.
We all pray that he will be taken with no injury to the police.

RIP. Another fallen hero.

Pathetic. It will be interesting to hear the motive. Hopefully he is brought to justice swiftly before he can hurt someone else.

I did ten years active duty as a LEO, and another 16 in the reserves. This incident reminds me of when some turds did a drive-by on one of our substations years ago. Fortunately they only fired a few rounds and no one was hit.

I dealt with some pretty bad hombres over the years. A few times a week, wondered when someone would knock at my door with a 9mm up to the peephole. When I retired my commission, I moved several states away...

I still sit towards the back with my face to the entrance (out of habit), every time we go eat. It drives the wife batty.

Be careful out there Brothers.

What a sicko. I just wonder if there is a back story. Did he know this trooper. Sorry if that was covered on another thread.

Also what a coward to do something like this.

I was in Philly for the Greater Philadelphia Locksmith Association Black Tie Gala when news of this horrific event was first broached.

I am still stunned.

I'm glad they have a suspect. My gut says that he will probably end up killing himself after being cornered like the coward he is.

We had a sniper lay in wait for a few days outside and across the street in some brush at a precinct I worked at many years ago. For whatever reason he never pulled the trigger. Creepy feeling. Knowing I was walking in and out of there maybe in that idiot's cross hairs.

He later got arrested for something unrelated and told of his time spent looking at officers and desk clerks coming and going. I did not interview the guy but talked to an officer that had. His attention to detail was psychotic at best.

Catch this coward.

Wow Tom, that's creepy. I have to wonder if I was ever in someone's crosshairs in my 26 years on the job...

I'm sure his time on the run will be a short one and I feel badly for the trooper's family to have to go through this ordeal.....may he rest in peace!!!

I hate that I cannot even go to my house in the Poconos because of this A**hole! For year-round residents, please be careful and vigilant. I hope he does not get caught alive.
