Is there anything special about the 2014 release? Or should I opt to acquire a pre-owned Lange 1 pre-2014?

The biggest changes have been the reworking of the Grand Lange 1 and the Lange 1 Moonphase.

Best suggestion is to visit the AD here in Chicago and ask Barbara to walk you through the Lange 1 family of watches, and then think about new or "pre-loved".

My personal view is that the Lange 1 is a timeless classic and icon. On that basis the differences between the 1st one launched 20 years ago and one you bought today would be minimal.
