Cellini
Just checked out the new line at the NYC boutiques. I think this is going to be a big hit for rolex. finally a real dress watch option. I particularly like the rg versions.

Yes, I think the wempe and tourneau dedicated rolex stores both have them in in NYC. Curious if just the boutiques have them or all stores are getting them?

I am interested in it but considering it's Rolexes dress watch, I wish they gave it an open caseback and show what that they can do decorated movements. They did it for the Prince.

Seems Rolex' strength is the Oyster line: simple, sturdy work watches built by the hundred-thousands.
Are there truly Rolex fanboys who worship the name so much, they would choose a Rolex Cellini over a Patek Philippe/ A Lange/ Vacheron Constantin/ Jaeger-LeCoultre dress watch? It would be like me trading a Rolex Daytona for a Patek Aquanaut as my "sporty" watch! Okay, yeah, I did that... Never mind! Honestly, as beautiful as the Cellini line is, I'd sooner buy an Oyster if the dial says Rolex. |
