DDII RG and skin tone

Went to the AD the other day and tried on the DDII RG. Is it just me or you guys also think that it blends with my skin tone & doesn't look nice? I think RG is for lighter skin tones?... What do you think?

thats a real bummer. I've always wanted this color DDII with the exact dial. I have exactly same skin tone as you are.

Well, try on the white gold one... that might look better. I would avoid the yellow gold and would rather have it blend with my skin over wearing yellow gold ;p

Yellow Gold, White Gold or Platinum may be better for your skin tone IMO

Doesnt look good on you. If you have olive skin YG is king.

Here, I have more of a tan in one picture than the other. You can see how it makes the. YG pop.

Here is the RG with some Florida tan. I think the RG looks fine with your skin tone. You might want to see it in natural light. There seems to be so few RG Rolex in the wild!

When trying both on, the sales group thought the RG looked rich. You must go with your gut feeling. Thanks to Dr. Tom for this idea for a picture!

I have to agree, it's a little too close to your skin tone, the dial almost gets lost.

My skin tone and the DDII are not that dissimilar but I never look at or notice my wrist when gazing at that beautiful dial.

It looks too similar to your skin tone. I would go back to the AD & take pics of all the metals. Study them when you are able to.

Biased as I own two rose Rolexes, but for what it's worth I am VERY lightly complected.

I think Yellow Gold suits you much better! But can't go wrong with any DDII, but I much prefer yours.

I agree, it does look very similar to your skin tone. I have seen rose gold on tanned skin many times but have never seen it look as similar in tone as it does on you. Could it just be the lighting in the AD?
I have to admit I think the WG or YG might be the better option in this instance. However, in saying that, it doesn't look bad. The DDII cannot look bad haha. IMO it just comes down to whether it will bother you every time you look at it.
Spending that much on a watch you need to love it, not have an issue in the back of your mind which might affect that.
Good luck with your decision.

i really liked the RG and was gonna go for the RG until I tried it on. If a brand new is lookng like this, a dull one (after a couple of years use) would probably look worse. Went with the YG instead

My skin tone is fair/reddish and Everose gets lost. I'm surprised at how it looks on your skin which is darker than mine. You must have reddish tones, or else it's the lights. Either way I'm sorry to say it is not complimentary. My opinion only, and I encourage you to follow your own opinion of course!
