Help Choosing 116333 Dial
Hi All,
I am on the fence, as I am in the market for a TT watch. I have considered the Sub-C as well, but I will only be wearing this watch to fancy affairs and such. The Sub-C would be too sporty, and I do not know how great the blue dial would look with suits/dress attire. The DJ2 is within budget (pre-owned) and works perfectly for a fancier watch than my SS Daytona. I am open to other suggestions though Anyways I am having a hard time choosing which dial is best for me. Ivory or Slate/Green. I personally like the sunburst aspect of the grey dial (as well as the roman numerals), but my Father in law has the ivory dial and in person it looks stunning and very rich. Let me know your thoughts :) Sorry in advance for any "borrowed" photos |

I think the slate would be absolutely a winner if it didnt have that so poorly placed lume baton at 9 oclock. Regardless, don't let that deter you.
I think I would go with option 2.

Slate. The best dial combinations for the Datejust II.

Ivory! First of all, the sticks look much better than the romans. Second, one you notice that white 9-o'clock marker on the grey dial, it would drive me nuts personally.

If it was between those two, the slate wins. However, the as an alternative the SubC would be above both.

Looks like slate has the slight edge. Dad-in-law has the Ivory and I could not stop staring at it last night :( this is one hard choice!!

Ivory for me, crisp and perhaps more classic look, plus lume. My other dial preference is black with solid gold romans, really pops.

I just picked up a slate & green dial
I saw it listed, went to see it and bought it straight away, it really does look good and I'd say a little unique |

Recently had a similar situation and went this way. Love the WG bezel and charcoal face.

Ivory won the poll, but unfortuately it's no longer available :(
Thinking of waiting this one out, maybe another ivory will come up, but I am still not 100% sold on the slate dial even though the wife gave it the nod over the ivory. |

Slate for me because it is a cool dial but also because I don't prefer sticks on DJ 2 models.
