Keep in mind that when those cars were parked their value was close to nothing and not worth restoring and even repairing.

Those cars were parked there in the year 2000. Some of those cars were worth a ton of money at that time.

I appreciate the arts as much as the next person, but leaving a bunch of very historic and beautiful rare automobiles to rot in a forest seems counterproductive. Personally, I wouldn't think it is a great idea to toss rare paintings about a forest. I feel the same way about the cars.

I question whether leaving a bunch of cars to rot in the bush is 'art'.
On that basis there is a hell of a lot of 'art' in backyards (and frontyards) all over Australia.
(I think he's more bent & rusty than the cars)

I don't like this, it's littering a beautiful forest and it is a waste of cars, they could have atleast done something else with them that would be a bit more useful than this.

It's funny how a own perspectives affect our feelings about art, this is art after all isn't it.
I can appreciate this collection and the visuals created, would love to take that walk and see it myself........ And then there is that 50 jag. As a Jaguar enthusiast I can't bear to see it just sitting there rotting. Oh my what emotions.

Mind blowing.... I don't think it's a waste at all. That creation is one of a kind. The cars were not.

To see those cars being 'wasted' like that. IMO, kinda reminds us that those things we hold dear, are really just 'things'. Nature on the other hand is alive.

I guess that they are his cars and it is his land and he can do anything he wants with either of them. Surprised the tree hugging folks didn't throw a fit. I suspect if he died tomorrow many would be pulled out and restored. Just reinforces that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I am a bit confused, and may have missed it, but if this was in a German forest, then why is there an english "school crossing" sign, there is at least one with an American plate, and some that have the driver's side on the left hand side.
