New year new watch

Hi all,

Just when I thought it was all behind me I saw the Cameron DSSD in the flesh, it was game over so I part-ex'd my old MK1 DSSD for the Blue.

Question for any other Cameron DSSD owners. Has the rotating bezel more play than the older MK1? the gap between the case and bezel seems slightly wider not by much though don't know if this was a minor revision or if it should go back to Rolex. Will try and post some picks later.

TIA

Congrats on the new D Blue! As for bezel play, I haven't noticed any issues. Enjoy it!

Whoa! Rolex named the watch after James Cameron?

I would be surprised if the bezel play on one version was intentionally different than the other, but I am not a DS owner.

Anyway, congrats on an awesome watch!

Big congrats, not sure on the bez, but my MK1 is tight to the case - I would get it checked out

Thanks all. Don't get me wrong the bezel doesn't feel like it going to come off, it's just if I push it down it seems to have more travel than the Mk1 did. May pop down to Rolex - just didn't want to be without it so soon after buying

Enough talking...

sorry chaps for the poor photo quality, thought I'd take a group shot save me adding individual pics to separate threads. Anyhooo the pic doesn't really do the DSSD blue black fade dial justice. My favourite is the simplicity of the the green writing in the dial, dunno why something so simple makes such a difference, I guess much like the Red or double red Sub

Nice!

Did you put a glidelock clasp on your sub?

Yeah, love the bracelet and bezel from the SubC but preferred the old school sub shape so fitted a gmt2c bracelet on and had the centre links brushed out. Love my sub probably be the one I would keep above all others. It's a G serial one of the last made, has the extra magnification on the cyclops with the AR coating. Again, small things..,,

How do you feel about having both Daytonas in the fleet? I too want that RG version and have the white ss. Not sure I can swing having both but also not sure I can move the white.

Funny you should ask, as I'm thinking of offloading the SS Daytona for a SD4K, But same as you don't know if I can part with it. Done it before and ended up buying this one, and replacing the Daytona for a SD4K would leave me with 3 very similar watches, decisions decisions......
