Can I change a smooth bezel to a fluted? (new Datejust II shopper)

New guy here..
Looking at a Datejust II.

On the Rolex site the black dial only comes with a smooth bezel (all steel option)

Can I order the all steel option, black dial, white stick, and add a fluted bezel in either steel or white gold ?

Do they allow customizing?

Thanks

No need, just buy that version. If the AD doesn't have it, they can order it for you.

Also, you probably could get a WG bezel but a) it would be extremely expensive and b) you'd probably run into issues if you ever need to get it serviced under warranty.

Or yellow gold. OP was talking about buying the smooth bezel all-steel version and adding a fluted WG bezel.

Never mind, I see what you're referring to in the OP where he refers to adding a steel or WG fluted bezel. Yes, there are no fluted steel bezels. On steel models, fluted bezel is WG. On two-tone models, fluted bezel is YG.

Is the oyster bracelet the only bracelet avaiable for the steel model? And what about the two tone? Can you see that?

For the Datejust II the oyster bracelet is the only option on all models.

Where is that option on the website? I cannot create that so I figured it does not exist ?

Is that one in the picture a new 2014? What am I missing here?

Is that a current option ?

The website doesn't list all the options. If you go to the AD, they have a reference manual for all combinations possible. Let me scan a copy and post it for you. Standby.

Here are the combos. As you can see, all dials are available for both references. Reference 116300 is the all steel and 116334 is the steel/WG bezel. There are also two diamond dial options not shown here for the 116334 reference only.

Although the colors are a bit off, this also gives you a good comparison to the two shades of blue used for the stick vs roman dials. Some people think they are the same color. Also, the blue roman dial is the only DJII dial to feature the "railroad tracks" besides the diamond dials and the black roman two-tone dial. Kind of a cool unique feature that mostly goes unnoticed.

No problem at all, we're all here to feed the addiction! Glad I could help.

As for Rolex, I'm not sure why they don't offer a full list of options on their website. They've already coded the JS or HTML5 for the customizer, would it really be that hard to included all the options?

Thanks for posting. I find the Rolex website to be not very user friendly, and it's crazy to hear that they don't have all of the options available. Yet another reason to spend more time on TRF!
