Good Price on Bluesy?
I've been looking online and in person and came across this bluesy. Its a 9mil serial number which I believe puts this as 1986-87 production. However it just came from a RSC and had $1750 of work done in February 2008. The asking price is $4800 from a gray dealer. If I were to buy this, should i expect any problems since it is a fairly older model/had a lot of service? I believe this is a good deal but am a rookie at this, so what are your thoughts?

IMO its too much. Now you have a vintage Sub that no longer has its vintage appeal.(luminova dial and hands, compared to original trituim) I would pay a little bit more and get a newer one.

Personally, I'd go for a TT Sub Date with SEL's, non lug holes case and the piece of solid gold fused onto the centre of the clasp...

For a 1987 (21 years old) model I would not pay 4800, on the other hand the 1700 dollars spend on this watch it means it had everything changed and now most in this watch is new.
Lets assume it was for sale for 3000 dollars... would I buy it...???.....You bet I WOULD Would I pay 1700 to make it like new...I guess.. if it had sentimental value...Verdict...?...Offer 4500 and tell him that your offer is good only today. I he says no let him keep it, save your money and buy brand new for 6950. |

I agree that the price is too high on this piece. I like the gold through the clasp. And you can probably even get a mucn newer one with the newer clasp and newer everything for only a few hundred more.
