Stoopid Peeple
Okay, I had the TV on in the background & just hear that Richard Hatch, the first Survivor winner, was just found guilty of tax evasion for not reporting his $1,000,000 show winnings, PLUS a few hundred thousand of appearance money.
Okay, so he was famous for 15 minutes, but on National TV, how many people knew he won the money ( I assume a few IRS agents watched the show), and he DID NOT REPORT THIS ON HIS TAX RETURN. Um, Hello

Maybe a poorly 'hatched' plan to gain more media spotlight?

Perhaps he thought of it as his nest egg and he was trying to hatch it.

Apparently he had been offered a deal about a year ago and initially took it, but then changed his mind and opted for the crap shoot of a trial. Maybe he was hoping his celebrity status would allow a not guilty verdict. As one commentator said last night, it's pretty amazing that OJ is walking free and this guy could get 13 years for tax evasion...........
