Passed over regret

Couple of years ago I was offered a 1675 at 5K. I didn't pull the trigger.
Below is the picture. It looks all original to me.
Anyone have a similar story with a pic of the watch.

Yes, a couple months ago, the match to my wife's Datejust (two-tone with slate dial and romans) was for sale on Bob's Watches with B&P for a good price. I already bought 2 Rolexes last year, couldn't justify a third. Next one that comes up for sale I will likely buy.

I had a couple Heuer watches I passed over... One was more that I got out priced and the other was slightly suspicious and may have actually saved me, I sent pictures of the movement to a guy and he noticed something looked wrong, I passed along what he said to the seller and the seller later responded that the watch was not functioning properly and he was taking down the listing until it could be repaired. It had the most gorgeous patina I have ever seen on a watch but I never saw it get re-listed, either the guy sold it locally or maybe it was frankenized or something but I would have loved to have that watch.

I should regret a Mark 1 5513 in 95%+ condition I sold, BUT, I never wore it. Superdome means no swimming or shower and no date equaled just not wearing...

I would like to have kept it. But don't miss it due to not being user friendly

In 1996 when I started studying for a specific technical exam I told myself that when I passed I would buy myself a Rolex Sub....when I finally finished everything and passed in 1998 I remember looking at the Subs and seeing the prices (@$3000 I believe) and getting turned off....didn't even think about vintage at the time...could kick myself because at this point I am sure that I could have had a great choice of 5512/3, 1680 and 1675...all before the internet bubble shot prices up.

I ended up buying a Tissot Ballade, which was my daily wearing watch until I picked up a Speedy Pro almost 10 years later!
