Is there any jaguar XK owners?

I am considering getting a jag xk, anybody owns one?

I am really curios about maintanence costs, any insights?

Not an xk but an xfr

They should be similar. Mine has the 5L supercharged v8 and it's solid. No issues, I had the e-diff motor replaced, they are the only common part to wear out. Was done under extended warranty as the early ones do overheat eventually!!

I pay roughly £300 for service every year. UK tax is £500 per year, insurance £380 per year. Tyres about £200 each I think.

Nothing else to worry about, local enthusiast club doesn't report anything major with the v8s. A few seem to eat their battery quicker. Mine ok so far.

Would have bought an xkr if it wasn't for the fact nobody can get in the rear seats.

Does about 12-20 British mpg. Maybe 10-15mpg US

Mine could not be more different, 1995 xj6. Found it in a garage where it had been for almost ten years. I got it for next to nothing drive it every day and have had zero problems. Maintenance has been nothing more than you would have on any other car. It is plenty fast fun to drive and I only wish I had bought. A jaguar a long time ago. My opinion get one you love it.

Know someone who had one of these (before he traded it on a new F Type) and he found it quite reliable and a very satisfying Grand Tourer.

bg - just remember that imported prestige or sports cars invariably cost more to service and repair than a home-grown vehicle.
It is not a bad idea to make some enquiries with your local Jaguar Dealer (OR specialist garage servicing Jaguars) about the costs associated with various services and the costs of replacement parts for your chosen model.
e.g. Replace brake rotors, pads, & fluids. or Replace Alternator, or service injection system.
