Discount on discontinued Ladies DateJust

Greetings!
I am going to be purchasing my first Rolex in a week after admiring them for 20 years. The model I have on hold with an AD is a discontinued dial two-tone DateJust. The AD has said he will work with me on the price especially since a discontinued model. The MSRP is $8700. What kind of discount should we shoot for? I know the online grey market prices are $7300- $7700 but want to go with AD first. Please let me know your experiences and what we might try to negotiate. This isn't my local store so no established relationship. Thanks!

Maybe try 30%, depend on your relation with the AD.

Don't hope for 30%. Depending on the AD, you'll do very well to get 21% with excellent negotiating skills. Wishing you luck to do even better.

It is known that two tone rolexs can be commonly discounted up to 15% for current models. Therefore as this is a discounted model I would seek over 15%. Paying with cash may save you 1% or 2% extra on transaction fees.

An AD I know every year has a couple Rolex models for 30% off. So 30% off is not unreasonable

Congratulations on your first Rolex! As hard as it may be to wait, if you can't get at least 20% off from the dealer I'd recommend reaching out to a trusted seller on this forum to see if they can source it for you.

I just bought a discontinued Datejust turn-o-graph from a Rolex AD. It is a model 116264. The best I could do was a 25% discount.

I was offered 10% off for cash on a new model. I'm going to shoot in the 20%+ range range for discontinued model if I like it better.
