Thomas Mann... I got both but like the Mann's nib better. Also like the "lacquered" finish.

I'm not a fan of either.
Twain pen has an interesting top cap.

Mann appears a little too busy

I would end up with the twain. Two reasons. It's more formal and would be used sparingly. Secondly twain has a greater influence to me than Mann.

My decision process.

When I made the decision to buy one, both were on the market.
I choose the Mann.
It is well build. Lacquerd body and cap on a metal base.
The M-nib I have is a very good writer. I have many pens, but this one is most of the time in rotation.

Why I didn't buy the Twain? I think it is a nice pen with good details, but you can feel the wave and when handling it it just feel a bit too light.

I am also not a fan of either also, but I like the Twain when comparing the two.

It is imaginative!

Tough decision to make as both pens have their good points.....I'm just glad I am not in the position to choose between them!!!

Take care and good luck.....Leo
