Sending good (buy it!) vibes to your commander-in-chief! (I am assuming wife/partner? :P)

This is how it works in my household - its better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.

My wife saw the BLNR on my wrist and asked how much? I was tempted to say "2" .... Too much! So I told her eight thousand then she saw the wire transfer of $8,950 and said I thought the watch cost $8,000? I told her I rounded down. She just shook her head and gave me that look.

I always round down myself, but my wife has caught on. If I say $8000 she assumes I mean $8999.99.

Grow a pair and buy it. You know full well she wouldn't have asked your permission if the shoe was on the other foot.

i see a worrying trend of husbands seeking approval from wives/partners for his own purchases...what happened to being the "man of the house"?

personally, the only party i seek permission when i make big purchases is my credit card company...lol

Funny thing,

recently as many here already know, I bought the Sub LV-C (BNIB) to join my beloved BLNR and had to bribe the chief as well. I said I'll sell my Bell & Ross and give the money to her.

I think it's fair

My wife's philosophy about gifts is that is not so much what she gets but vacation spot where she gets it!
