My new 116334 & a rant about EBay sellers
First, a thank you to DavidSW for a great transaction.
Now a rant on a particular type of individual selling Rolexes that I encountered repeatedly while pursuing this watch. All advertise on EBay. What's up with this behavior? 1)Advertising watches for sale that they don't actually have. Some advertising mult pieces, but never having a SINGLE one when you call. The ads run perpetually. 2)2 months later I inquire again. And am given another excuse. I find it completely illegitimate business to advertise things for sale when one does not possess said items to sell. I called BS so many times. 3)completely low-balling trade value of my 116233"D" "Oh those are not worth more than $4300-4400 in trade". Seriously, you're a fing watch trader, & I am not even close to a sucker. You are not happy to make $1.5-2k on my mint TTDJ & also make $XXX on a DJII??? I'm a DDS-lots of yrs in school, lots of risk taken every day. I'd love to hit home runs with my endeavors, but how greedy are these jokers? I had a good guy dealer buy my TTDJ outright for $5k when he saw how nice it was(no trade, no haggling-he just wanted it & offered a fair #) I'd do a deal w David again anytime. 90% of the watch sellers I talked to exhibited most or all of this behavior. Can't imagine how they survive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
