Tudor Sub 76100 real or fake?
Hi, I'm in the market for a Tudor Submariner 76100 with lollipop hands and found this one on eBay. The seller says the serial number starts with 121, meaning the build is from 1984-1985. I tried to find this number in the Tudor serial number chart but all numbers seem to start much higher. What do you think, is this real?

64 feedbacks and nothing of that value.....I would pass. Also...look at the hour hand in pic one...why is the uppe4r edge of the round part clipped? Looks fishy.

I will look between the lugs of mine tonight but the hands look fake... maybe replacements? Dial looks like a replacement. Band and diver's extension look like mine do.
You'd need a straight on shot of the date/cyclops to see how that looks... and a photo of the movement. If everything else checks out then I'd consider... if the price was good. But the hands bother me. |

I looked at mine and the "STAINLESS STEEL" and model number looked to be the same.
I still say dial and hands have been swapped. |

Thanks guys! I've asked the seller about the hour hand and he said: it's not bended, it's a very very light 'deburring' that you can see only by macro picture (i used a macro camera lens) not visible only by eye. I'll ask him for pics of the movement and cyclops.

I also came across this really beautiful 7016: http://www.2dehands.be/bijoux-horlog...227107267.html
It's offered on a Dutch online marketplace. The seller could give me quite a lot of details: ETA 2483 caliber Rolex 702 Triplock crown Fat font insert Big bubble seconds hand Folded 7836 steel strap Build year: '72-'73 Dial is original Original glass has been replaced by a domed glass It keeps time (runs on cosc specs, 2 to 3 secs late per 24 hours) What do you think? |
