Wonder machines

Have you seen them on TV, those wonder machines that give you the tight body of an athlete in 5 minutes a day in just 3 weeks? Over here (on TelSell), there’s a new one every week, one more absurd than the other. The Thigh and Bun Max, The Shaper, the one that replaces the total setup of a large gym, the one with elastic bands, etc.

They are all demonstrated by models that are already in perfect shape, with great abs and a beautiful tan to give the impression this was the doing of the pathetic little machine they’re demonstrating.

And there’s seemingly no end to this non sense! Trampolines, gizmos that shift from left to right, sauna belts (“I lost 3 inches in one hour”), shock therapy stick-on thingies, the list is endless. Are there actually people out there that believe all this? Because if it were really true, the whole world would be occupied by lean and tanned supermodels. If I step outside, I see something completely different!

But they are bought. I know that, because if I cycle to work in the early morning, I can see a lot of those broken or non used gizmos standing alongside other garbage, waiting to be picked up by the garbage truck.

So, you're saying that the Buns Blaster I just ordered isn't going to give me the greek god like body they promised me in just ten minutes a week for only six easy payments of $39.95, which is only half the cost of the average gym membership? . Hmm, I wonder if I'll get to keep the free workout video

There's a sucker born everyday

My training with the Beer Master gave me a complete different body as well, only not the one I expected (Mrs. H doesn't like it).

I'm through with buying these foolish things! From now on, I'm saving my money to buy that new red dial SS sub with the gold trimmed nylon band Rolex just came out with. And what a steal at only 100 payments of 99.95 a month!
And as far as the beer master goes, six packs are for sissys. Train like a champ, go for the keg!

LOL! Hey Frans, you're not alone in this matter. We get plenty of this everyday on our TV channels. All kinds of new contraptions and the hypocrisy of it all is that when they introduce a new gizmo, they praise it to the skies....but when they come up with a "better" replacement, the old one is considered crappy by comparison.

It's all about marketing and making money, my friend...and it certainly seems to work!!
